Platinum Clear PBC-41 is a high gloss 2K Urethane Clearcoat made for the Automotive or Light Industrial market. Water white clear eliminates concerns of color change over silver or white basecoat. Good choice for production work.

Suggested Uses: An economy clearcoat for automotive, parts painting or truck painting over Platinum Basecoat

Components: 

PBC-41  (Clear Coat)
PB-F, PB-M, PB-S  (Fast/Medium/Slow Hardener) 

Mixing Ratio: 4:1 Mix four (4) parts PBC-41 Clearcoat to one (1) part selected hardener 

Pot Life: 2 hours at 68°F (20°C)

Application: Apply: Two to three medium wet coats/ Allow 7-10 minutes flash between coats 

                      Spray Gun: HVLP Gravity Feed: 1.3 - 1.5mm tip and needle

                      Conventional: 1.3 - 1.5mm tip and needle
                     
                      Film Build: 50 - 62.5 microns (2.0 - 2.5 mils.) when applied as directed

Dry Times:

Dust Free: 30 minutes at 68°F (20°C)
Tack Free: 15 - 20 minutes at 68°F (20°C)
Sand & Polish: 12 - 24 hours at 68°F (20°C)
Force Dry: 15 minute flash: 40 minutes at 140°F (60°C)

Sand & Polish: After 2 hour cool down

VOC: Regulatory VOC: 483 g/l (4.03 lbs/gl)

           Actual VOC: 591.1 g/l (4.9 lbs/gl)

Solids: By Volume: 26.9%

            By Weight: 32.5%

            Specific Gravity: 7.76 lbs/gl (0.93 kg/l)

Coverage: 388.49 square feet per gallon at 100% transfer efficiency, at 50 microns (2 mils) 36.06 square meters per gallon at 100% efficiency, at 50 microns (2 mils)

Repainting: After 24 hours at 68°F (20°C). Sand is recommended for best adhesion. After force dry recommendations are complete, allow cool down for 1 hour prior to sand and recoat.

Storage Stability: One year for A (clear) component, 6 months B (Hardener) component in closed package, in a cool and dry place, away from any heat source.
