Mixing Instructions (General guidelines for automotive basecoat systems – always follow your specific paint brand's TDS for best results):

• Shake the toner bottle vigorously for 1-2 minutes before use to ensure even dispersion of the Xirallic particles.
• If mixing this toner by itself (for a standalone mid-coat or effect layer): Use a 1:1 mix ratio (1 part toner : 1 part appropriate urethane reducer/activator).
• When blending with other urethane-based paints/toners/basecoats: Mix at 1:1 or 2:1 (toner to other paint) depending on desired hiding, coverage, and intensity. Start with lower toner percentage (e.g., 5-20% by volume) for subtle shimmer, or increase for bolder sparkle.
• For a full custom color: Blend into a compatible black, dark blue, or white pearl base for tri-coat systems (e.g., base color → Xirallic mid-coat → clear).
• Mix thoroughly and strain through a fine mesh filter to prevent clogs.
• Thin to spray viscosity (typically 14-18 seconds on a #4 Ford cup at 77°F/25°C) using your system's recommended reducer.

Spraying Instructions (Apply in a well-ventilated area with proper PPE):

• Apply over a properly prepared, primed surface (recommended on dark or mid-tone base for maximum effect).
• Spray 2-4 medium wet coats, allowing 5-10 minutes flash time between coats at 70-80°F.
• Use a 1.3-1.4mm tip HVLP gun at 25-35 PSI (or per your equipment).
• Maintain even overlaps and a 50-60% pattern overlap for uniform sparkle distribution.
• Allow 15-30 minutes final flash before applying 2K clear coat (highly recommended for protection and to pop the Xirallic effect).
• For best results: Apply in controlled conditions, avoid heavy orange peel, and test on a panel first to dial in the exact effect you want.
