Platinum 2K Urethane 4:1 Primer Sealer – Tintable Clear Gallon Kit w/ Hardener

This professional-grade 2K acrylic urethane primer sealer is designed for excellent flow, leveling, adhesion, and color holdout prior to topcoat application. The tintable (clear) formula allows you to adjust shade for improved coverage on difficult colors, making it ideal for custom refinishing applications.

This product is suitable for use over properly prepared painted surfaces, body filler, bare metal, and many automotive plastics.

Tinting Information

Mixing Information

• Mix Ratio: 4:1 (sealer : hardener)
• Pot Life: 2 hours at 75°F

Step-by-Step Application Instructions

Bare Metal Application

1. Wash with soap and water; dry thoroughly.
2. Clean with wax and grease remover in small sections; wipe dry.
3. Sand using 220–320 grit abrasive.
4. Re-clean with pre-paint cleaner.
5. Treat metal and apply appropriate primer per your system.
6. Apply 1 coat of sealer.
7. Spray pressure:
   • 50–60 PSI at the gun
   • 6–10 PSI HVLP
8. Allow up to 30 minutes flash time before topcoat.

OEM Finishes / Primed Surfaces

1. Clean with wax and grease remover; wipe dry.
2. Sand with 600–800 grit abrasive.
3. Re-clean with pre-paint cleaner.
4. Apply 1 coat of sealer.
5. Spray at 50–60 PSI (gun) or 6–10 PSI (HVLP).
6. Flash up to 30 minutes before topcoat.

OEM Replacement Panels

1. Clean thoroughly with wax and grease remover.
2. Lightly sand with 600–800 grit or scuff pad.
3. Re-clean with pre-paint cleaner.
4. Use within 2-hour pot life after mixing.

Cleanup

Clean all spray equipment immediately using quality lacquer thinner. Do not leave mixed material in the spray gun longer than 2 hours.
